Ben doesn’t go looking for trouble, but he doesn’t avoid it either.
The backroads around Quesnel taught him early that if you’re going to head out past where the pavement ends, you’d better be ready to deal with whatever comes next.
Flat tire, broken strap, something rattling that shouldn’t be—Ben doesn’t panic. He pulls over, pops the hood, and gets to work.
He’s not flashy about it. Half the time, you won’t even notice anything’s wrong until you see him already fixing it. Tools come out, coffee goes down, and before long things are moving again—sometimes better than before.
That’s just how he operates. If it can be fixed, he’ll fix it. If it can’t, he’ll figure out a way anyway.
Out on the road, people tend to stick close to Ben without really thinking about it. Not because he says much—he doesn’t—but because there’s a quiet confidence in knowing that wherever the road goes, he’s the kind of guy who’ll get you back. Maybe a little dirty, maybe a little late… but never stranded.
Backroad Ben’s Motto
“If it can be fixed, I’ll fix it. If it can’t, I’ll figure out a way anyway.”
Fun Fact: Ben has fixed so many roadside breakdowns mid-coffee that most of his riding buddies never even noticed anything was wrong until they were already moving again.
