Mack the Muley

Mack the Muley – The Prairie Roamer

Some people travel to escape.

Mack travels to appreciate what’s already there.

Born near Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Mack grew up beneath endless skies, where the horizon seems to stretch forever and every road leads to another story. He understands something many travellers miss—that Saskatchewan’s beauty isn’t always found in famous landmarks or busy attractions.

Sometimes it’s found in the journey itself.

Like the mule deer he represents, Mack is calm, observant, and comfortable taking life at a steady pace. He doesn’t rush from place to place. Instead, he enjoys the simple pleasures of the road: golden fields swaying in the wind, distant grain elevators standing watch over small communities, and sunsets that seem to last forever.

Mack believes some of the best moments happen when you slow down.

A quiet drive on a country road.

A small-town coffee stop.

A conversation with a local.

A perfect prairie sunset.

He’s also a gentle reminder that Saskatchewan’s roads are shared with wildlife. Mack encourages travellers to stay alert, especially at dawn and dusk, and to respect the animals that call these landscapes home.

To him, the open road isn’t about speed.

It’s about freedom.

Freedom to wander.

Freedom to explore.

Freedom to appreciate the vastness of the prairie.

As one of the Animals of Rumble, Mack the Muley represents patience, perspective, and the simple joy of discovering Saskatchewan one mile at a time.

If you meet Mack on your travels, don’t expect him to be in a hurry.

He’ll probably be taking in the view.

And he’ll likely encourage you to do the same.

Mack’s Motto

“Life’s better when you slow down and enjoy the view.”

Fun Fact: Mack measures a successful day not by how far he travelled, but by how many sunsets he stopped to watch.
