Big Bob the Bison – his story
Some riders follow the crowd.
Big Bob follows the road nobody bothered to mention.
Born on the wide-open Prairies of Southern Alberta, Bob grew up surrounded by endless skies, rolling grasslands, and the kind of freedom that can only be understood when you can see the horizon in every direction.
Like the bison he represents, Bob is built for endurance.
Steady.
Strong.
Unshakable.
He doesn’t need to be the loudest voice in the room to command respect. His presence does that for him.
While others race from attraction to attraction, Bob prefers to explore the forgotten roads that connect them. The backroads. The gravel roads. The hidden routes that lead to small towns, family-owned diners, prairie museums, and roadside attractions most travellers drive right past.
To Bob, that’s where the real Alberta lives.
His friends often joke that Bob has never taken the same route twice.
The funny thing is, it might be true.
Every ride is an opportunity to discover something new.

A community celebration that never makes the travel brochures.
Bob believes that supporting local businesses isn’t something you talk about—it’s something you do. Every fuel stop, every meal, every overnight stay is a chance to help keep rural communities thriving.

When the day’s ride is done, you’ll usually find Bob beside a campfire with a mug of black coffee or a glass of whiskey, swapping stories and planning tomorrow’s adventure.
His dream is simple.

Every forgotten road that leads somewhere worth discovering.
