Timber Tom, BC Rumble Animal wolf riding alone on a remote British Columbia backroad at night | Rumble Canada

Timber Tom – his story

Tom doesn’t make plans the way most people do. He picks a direction, checks his machine, and goes. Sometimes it’s a road he’s ridden before, sometimes it isn’t. Doesn’t matter much to him. What matters is that there’s space—enough of it to think, or not think at all.

He rides better at night. Less traffic, less noise, just the hum of the engine and whatever thoughts come and go. The farther he gets from town lights, the more comfortable he feels. Not because he’s avoiding people exactly—he just doesn’t need much from them. The road gives him what he’s after.

If you cross paths with Tom, it’ll probably be brief. A nod at a fuel stop, maybe a quiet word or two. Then he’s gone again, heading somewhere he hasn’t fully decided on yet. And that’s the point. For Tom, staying in motion is the only thing that feels like standing still.

Timber Tom’s Motto

“Staying in motion is the only thing that feels like standing still.”

Fun Fact: Tom has logged more night kilometres than daytime ones—he claims the best roads only show their true character after dark.
